A couple reminders as we head into the second half of the year:
- Nightly Reading: Homework in fourth grade is to read 20 minutes nightly. Please encourage your student to read nightly!
- Students should bring a healthy snack and a water bottle every day. I try to keep extras in case a student forgets, but we are running low.
Talent show: Here is a link to sign up for the talent show.
NWEA: The kids did such a great job on the Math NWEA! It was so great to see how much they have grown since the fall. We will take the Reading NWEA on Tuesday and Wednesday, starting at 9:00 AM. Please try to avoid scheduling appointments on these mornings. Students can bring gum or mints to help wake up their brain!
Snack donations: If you are able to send in any pre-packaged snacks for our classroom, that would be greatly appreciated. It is nice to have some extra if a student forgets their snack. Thank you!
Math: This week, we will finish Unit 4, ending with lessons 20-22 and will then take the test later in the week. Additional practicing at home on decimals and adding and subtracting large numbers will be helpful for students who are struggling with these standards.
