Lansing: Our Lansing trip is on Monday, May 4th.  Here is the information . This is always a favorite memory of fourth grade!  Please note that students need to arrive to school at 7:15, and will need to be picked up around 4:15/4:30 (this time is different than we originally shared). If your student normally rides the bus, please make sure to find other accommodations for this day. The bus will leave for Lansing at 7:30! Chaperones received a note home on Friday with more information. If you are chaperoning, please send in the $8 museum fee with your student before the trip.  Everyone going should bring a disposable water bottle, snacks, and a lunch. Students may also bring money for the gift shop! Track Meet:  The track meet will be on Friday, May 8th. We plan to get to the high school at 9:00. We are looking for a volunteer who has a wagon to hold student's water bottles. It would be extra wonderful if the volunteer could plan to pull the wagon ar...

M- Step testing:  The kids worked so hard on the Reading M-Step, and I am extremely proud of them! On Tuesday, we will take the Math M-Step. Students should have headphones (we have extras if needed), and can bring gum or mints to help wake up their brain! We will take lots of breaks throughout the day. Please make sure your student has a healthy breakfast and gets lots of sleep! We will continue testing on Wednesday for anyone who does not finish.  Math:  In math last week, we completed Unit 6, and started Unit 7. This week, we complete lessons 3-6. Additional practice using IXL Textbook or Diagnostic will be extremely helpful as we get ready for M Step and NWEA!  Lansing trip:   Please click here  for important information on our Lansing field trip. There is a link in the document to sign up to chaperone. Please note, the deadline to sign up to volunteer is April 24th.  Mrs. Richard's blog  for more information on our music program. ...

Math:   Last week, we completed lessons 14-17. This week, we will try to complete lessons 18-21. If your student is struggling with this essential standard of multiplying or dividing multi digit numbers, I highly recommend extra practice at home using IXL textbook. It also will be extremely beneficial for multiplication and division to practice fact fluency on both.  Paper clip reward: Students have reached their paper clip goal! To celebrate their wonderful bear behaviors, we will be having a day where they can bring outdoor home toys from home on Tuesday, the 24th!  Students can bring scooters, bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, footballs, etc. Please make sure to send in appropriate safety gear such as helmets and knee/shoulder pads! We want to avoid any injuries and make sure everyone is staying safe! Please let me know if you have any questions about this.  PBIS Movie Reward:  We will be watching the movie  Felicity  on Thursday afternoon. I...

Report Cards:   Report cards went home on Friday. There may be an area(s) where your child still needs to meet the essential standard. The expected goal is to achieve the standards by the end of 4th grade with a "3".  Students receive extra practice and opportunities through small-group and individual interventions throughout the school year to help them reach their goals.  Any areas where students are not yet proficient from trimester 1, we will continue to work on and they will be reported by the end of the year. Once you receive the report card, please review it with your child, sign the envelope, and return it for yards! Field Trips:   Please see field trips listed below. Parent chaperones are needed for both trips, but anyone attending must complete the volunteer form also listed below. I hope this gives you enough notice to prepare!   Math: Last week, we completed lessons 5-8. This week, we will complete lessons 9-13. Additional practice using IXL ...
